FWSF Member Article Featured in Cal CPA

Tamarra Brown

The September 2014 issue of California CPA features an article by FWSF member, Tamarra Brown (added here with permission from California CPA). Her article which can be found on pages 12 – 13 is entitled ‘Successful Recruitment Strategies from a Candidate’s Perspective.’

Tamarra who has been a FWSF member since February 2014 and an active member of the East Bay Committee joined for the opportunity to meet, encourage and learn from other women in the business community. She began her career as a newspaper journalist with a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Missouri School of Journalism and continues to look for opportunities to share as a writer especially in the field of business and finance. She holds a MBA from the University of Southern California and certificates of Finance and Accounting from UC Berkeley Extension. She has recently begun her public accounting career as an Audit Associate in KPMG’s San Francisco office and is a CPA Candidate. The article stems from her own observations of the job market and her experience as a supervisor/interview panelist and facilitator in other professional settings.
