FWSF Scholarship Winner

Finance & Business Analytics Honors Student at Saint Mary's College of California

Please share a little about yourself:
As a first-generation college student, my journey is driven by a passion for learning, personal growth, and making a meaningful impact. At Saint Mary's College of California, I actively engage in leadership roles that foster both community and professional development. I currently serve as the Vice President of Finance for Gael Women in Business, where I manage budgets and support events that empower women in the business world. Additionally, I am a member of the Economics Society and the Residence Hall Association, and I mentor first-year students as a peer coach, helping them navigate their college journey. Through the Honors Program, I’ve embraced academic challenges that have strengthened my critical thinking and leadership skills.

Beyond academics, I am pursuing my real estate license to complement my studies and broaden my career opportunities. I’m particularly interested in asset management, wealth management, and consulting—fields where I can combine my analytical skills with my passion for guiding others toward financial independence. I’m always eager to connect with professionals and peers in finance, business analytics, and real estate to exchange insights, learn, and grow together.

Outside of school, I love watching sports, especially cheering on the Golden State Warriors and San Francisco Giants. I also enjoy baking, going on walks, and practicing Pilates as ways to unwind and stay active. Whether in academics, career aspirations, or personal hobbies, I’m always looking for opportunities to learn, challenge myself, and build meaningful connections.

I’m incredibly grateful to be a Financial Women of San Francisco scholarship recipient and deeply appreciate the support and community FWSF provides. I look forward to attending FWSF events, connecting with inspiring professionals, and continuing to learn from this incredible network of women in finance.

What inspired you to join FWSF?
As a first-generation college student, I understand the significance of mentorship and support networks in overcoming challenges and achieving success. Joining FWSF has given me the incredible opportunity to be mentored by inspiring women in finance, attend career development events, and expand my professional network—all of which are invaluable as I navigate my career path.

Being part of FWSF means having access to a community of strong, accomplished women who have been in my shoes. Learning from their experiences and insights has been both empowering and motivating as I work toward my goals in finance. I’m especially grateful for my mentor, Robyn Rogin, whose guidance and support have helped me grow both professionally and personally.

FWSF has already made such a meaningful impact on my journey, and I’m excited to continue learning, connecting, and giving back to this incredible network.

What’s your favorite part of FWSF?
My favorite part of FWSF is the incredible sense of community and the way members uplift and support one another. Being part of a network of accomplished women in finance who are so willing to share their knowledge, experiences, and encouragement is truly inspiring. As a first-generation student, having access to such a strong support system means the world to me. I’m grateful for the opportunity to learn from and connect with this amazing group of women, and I look forward to continuing to grow within this network.

What’s your best career tip for women working in finance or financial services?
My best career tip for women in finance is to never give up and always keep learning. The finance industry is constantly evolving, and staying curious, adaptable, and committed to growth will open doors to new opportunities. Challenges will come, but perseverance and a willingness to learn from every experience will set you apart. Surround yourself with mentors, seek out new knowledge, and believe in your ability to succeed—because you belong in every room you step into.
